2013 AT A GLANCE
VakıfBank established the
Global Medium Term Notes
(GMTN) Program
VakıfBank, as a first among Turkish banks,
established a Global Medium Term Notes
(GMTN) Program, enabling eurobond
issuances in different currencies up to a
maximum amount equivalent to US$ 3
billion. Through the program, the Bank had
the opportunity to issue debt instruments
faster without legal procedures each time.
Within the GMTN Program, the Bank issued
eurobonds/bills denominated in different
currencies amounting to a total of US$ 1,862
million and TL 5,093,458,209.
VakıfBank - both the World
and European Champion
In 2013, VakıfBank Women’s Volleyball
Team, supported by the Bank for 27 years,
broke a record for straight wins the Turkey
League, Turkey Cup, Turkey Super Cup,
European Champions League and the World
Championship.
Silver Award for the 2012
Annual Report
At the Vision Awards competition organized
by there League of American Communications
Professionals (LACP), one of the most
prestigious institutions in the world in terms
of annual report evaluation, VakıfBank’s 2012
Annual Report was honored with the Silver
Award in the global banking sector category.
VakıfBank rapidly implements
new developments and practices
in the global banking sector in
Turkey when appropriate; the
analysis on the use of retail
credit cards is one of the best
examples. In 1990, with the
‘İtibar Kredisi’ (Reputation
Credit) application, businesses
started to work with the Bank for
all credit card-related issues.
