Mehmet Emİn Özcan
Vice-Chairman of the Board
Born in 1960 in Beytüşşebap, Mehmet Emin
Özcan graduated from Ankara University,
Faculty of Political Science, Department of
Economics and Finance in 1982. He started
his professional career the following year
at Türkiye İş Bankası A.Ş. as an Assistant
Auditor. He then assumed various managerial
responsibilities at Albaraka Türk Katılım
Bankası A.Ş. and served on the T. Halk Bankası
A.Ş. Executive Director of the Board between
March 2003 - April 2005. At the same time,
he served as the Bank representative for
the Institute of International Finance (IIF)
and on the Board of Demir-Halk Bank/
Netherlands, Halk Yatırım Menkul Değerler
A.Ş. and Halk Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. Between
April 2005 and May 2010, he was a Board
member at T.C. Ziraat Bankası A.Ş. Özcan
served as the Chairman/Board member of
various subsidiaries of T.C. Ziraat Bankası A.Ş.
He served as Vice Chairman of the Board of
Türkiye Halk Bankası A.Ş. from April 2010 until
March 2013. Appointed to the VakıfBank Board
of Directors on March 29, 2013, Mehmet Emin
Özcan currently serves as the Vice Chairman of
the Board of Directors as well as the Chairman
of the Supervisory Board at VakıfBank
International AG. He is fluent in English, is
married and has three children.
Halİl Aydoğan
Executive Director, General Manager
Born in 1950 in Afyonkarahisar, Halil Aydoğan
graduated from Istanbul University, Faculty
of Economics, Department of Business
Administration and Finance in 1976. He
started his career at T. Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O.
as Assistant Auditor in 1977. Subsequently,
he served as Auditor from 1980 to 1983;
Deputy Manager in the Mecidiyeköy Branch
between 1983 and 1985; and Branch
Manager in the Kadıköy, Mecidiyeköy, Taksim,
Istanbul and Şişli branches from 1985 until
1996. Mr. Aydoğan assumed the positions of
Executive Vice President at T. Vakıflar Bankası
T.A.O. between 1996 and 1999 and General
Manager at Vakıf Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. from
1999 to 2000. He served as a member of
Parliament from Afyonkarahisar for the 22nd
and 23rd terms, a member of the State
Owned Enterprises Commission for two years,
he was a member of the Planning and Budget
Commission for seven years. On January 5,
2012, Aydoğan was appointed Chairman of
the Board of Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O. and has
served as General Manager of the Bank since
March 29, 2013. He also holds the position
of Chairman of the Board at Taksim Otelcilik
A.Ş. and at Güneş Sigorta A.Ş. and is a Board
member of Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası A.Ş.
Ramazan Gündüz
Board Chairman
Ramazan Gündüz began his banking
career as an intern at VakıfBank in 1977.
Subsequently, he worked as Assistant Auditor
and Auditor. He then served in various
managerial level positions including Assistant
Manager of İstanbul Region, Manager of
İstanbul Financial Analysis and Intelligence
Department, Manager of Şişli Branch, Manager
of Medium-Sized Loans Directorate, Head
of Loans Department, Manager of İstanbul
Regional Directorate. Following his retirement,
Ramazan Gündüz served as General Manager
of Vakıf Menkul Kıymetler Yatırım Ortaklığı and
Vakıf Leasing, both subsidiaries of VakıfBank.
On April 3, 2009, he was appointed to the
Board at a General Assembly meeting. He
has served as Board Chairman since April 29,
2013.
