Exclusive services special to Platinum card
holders
VakıfBank Platinum Credit Cards, offered to
upper income customers, were equipped with
new features to meet the special needs of
cardholders. To make domestic and overseas
trips more comfortable and enjoyable, a
cardholder and one guest may enjoy the free
use of the passenger lounges at domestic and
international terminals at Sabiha Gökçen and
Esenboğa airports.
In addition, VakıfBank Platinum Card holders
can benefit from free access to Rail & Miles
CIP Lounge located at the Ankara Station,
plus discounts, extra Worldpoints or five
installment opportunities for car rentals.
Free overseas travel insurance coverage from
Güneş Sigorta is also provided to Premium
Card customers traveling abroad. In addition,
cardholders can benefit from VIP transfer
service with comfortable vehicles from/to the
airport or into the city.
Market share growth continues in
merchant services
VakıfBank reached 107,966 merchant
members by 2013 year-end. The Bank’s
merchant turnover increased 29% over the
previous year; with a market share of 5.01%,
the Bank ranks eighth among banks that offer
merchant services. The Merchant services
market amounted to TL 428 billion, 17%
over the previous year. In 2013, the Bank
carried out new generation applications and
campaigns to increase the number, turnover
and efficiency of its merchant network.
Social security payments are much easier
The work that enables Social Security
Institution (SGK) payments to be made via
the institution‘s web page were completed.
The Bank’s customers are provided with
the opportunity to make the payments in
installments through the Internet.
Transition to cash register POS devices
The Bank made the necessary changes for
businesses that are required to use the new
generation POS cash registers within the
regulatory framework. VakıfBank’s applications
were made compatible with TUBITAK-
approved new generation payment recording
devices. In addition, to support VakıfBank
customers in the procurement of POS cash
registers, special promotions and packages
were offered.
American Express privilege at more
locations
American Express Card Acceptance Service,
offered by a limited number of banks in
Turkey, including VakıfBank, is now available
in more retail locations thanks to VakıfBank’s
growing merchant network.

To increase communications with the
merchant network, the www.vakifbankpos.
com.tr website was launched to announce
various campaigns and to provide information
related to the merchant network in addition
to the official VakıfBank website. Through the
website, the merchant network of the Bank
provided practical information, campaign
announcements and new product/service
introductions. New merchant member
applications were also accepted via the
website.
