Metin Recep Zafer is a graduate of Marmara
University Faculty of Economics and
Administrative Sciences, Department of
Economics. Starting his banking career in 1992,
he assumed the title of Assistant Associate,
Auditor and Department Manager at the
branches, head offices and audit committees of
various banks. He was appointed as Executive
Vice President at T. Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O. on
June 13, 2006. He is fluent in English.
Serdar Satoğlu
Executive Vice President

Born in Ankara in 1972, Serdar Satoğlu joined
T. Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O. on March 6, 1995 as
an Assistant Auditor. He served as the Head
of Audit Committee of Vakıf Yatırım Menkul
Değerler A.Ş. in 2001, and as General Manager
of the same company for seven years - 2003
and 2010. Since June 2010, he has served as
an Executive Vice Presidentat T. Vakıflar Bankası
T.A.O.
Satoğlu served as a Member on the Board of
Takasbank between 2008 and 2010 and as
a Board member of the Turkish Derivatives
Exchange (VOB) between 2011 and 2012. Since
January 2011, he has been a Member of the
Board of Vakıf Portföy Yönetimi A.Ş. and is also
a Member of the Board of the Central Registry
Agency (MKK) since March 2012. Satoğlu has
been a Member of the Board of the Turkish
Capital Markets Association (TSPAKB) since May
2013, following his duties as a member of the
Audit Board of the same association since May
2011. A 1990 graduate of TED Ankara College
and Ankara University Faculty of Political
Sciences in 1994, Serdar Satoğlu earned his
Master’s degree in 2006 in Capital Markets and
Stock Exchange at Marmara University, Banking
and Insurance Institute. He earned his doctorate
in Banking in 2010 at the same Institute. Serdar
Satoğlu is fluent in English, is married and has
three children.
Halİl Aydoğan
Executive Director, General Manager
Born in 1950 in Afyonkarahisar, Halil Aydoğan
is a 1979 graduate of Istanbul University,
Faculty of Economics, Department of Business
Administration and Finance. He began his
career in 1977 as an Assistant Auditor at
T. Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O. Aydoğan served
as Auditor from 1980 to 1983, as Assistant
Manager at the Mecidiyeköy Branch from
1983 to 1985 and as a branch manager at
Kadikoy, Mecidiyekoy, Taksim, Istanbul and
Şişli branches respectively from 1985 to 1996.
He assumed the positions of Assistant General
Manager at T. Vakıflar Bankası T.A.O. between
1996 and 1999 and General Manager of Vakıf
Finansal Kiralama A.Ş. (Vakıf Leasing) between
1999 and 2000. Serving as a Parliament
Member from Afyonkarahisar for the 22nd and
23rd terms, a member of the State Owned
Enterprises Commission for two years and
as a member of the Planning and Budget
Commission for seven years, Aydoğan was
appointed Chairman of the Board of Vakıflar
Bankası T.A.O. on January 5, 2012. Serving
as the General Manager of the Bank since
March 29, 2013, he also holds the position of
Chairman of the Board at Taksim Otelcilik A.Ş.
and Güneş Sigorta A.Ş., and is a member of the
Board at Türkiye Sınai Kalkınma Bankası A.Ş.
