• The application that enables the customer
to inquire about information such as retiree
payrolls, working hours, etc. was completed
and commissioned at http://esv.vakifbank.
com.tr.
• A system that determines customer
transaction patterns based on real-time
and/or historical data and enables to
take real-time actions accordingly, was
established.
• Vakıf Emeklilik (Vakıf Retirement) Online
Collection System was commissioned.
• Infrastructural work regarding the transition
to the cash register POS system and
integration with the Revenue Administration
has been completed.
• The systemic executions of numerous public
offerings that were carried out in 2013 was
performed.
• In order to increase the security of
transactions through alternative channels
such as the Internet branch, ATMs, the Call
Center, a transaction-signing application will
be activated very soon.
VakıfBank completed the following IT
related projects in 2013:
• Grading of commercial and retail loan
customers tracked by early warning signals
according to their risk, early identification
of risky customers and taking the necessary
precautions as per their risk grades.
• The salary payments corporate profitability
system was commissioned.
• The Bank’s website, www.vakifbank.com.tr
was renewed with a more modern look.
• Additional functions were added to the
retail Internet banking site and its security
has been increased. The modernization of
the website is still underway.
• By creating an online stock market portal
that enables trading transactions through
forex, the Bank’s customers have the
opportunity to perform trade transactions
and portfolio monitoring at another platform
in addition to Internet banking.
IT infrastructure work
With the establishment of VakıfBank’s new
data center in Istanbul, the design stage has
been completed and the application stage
started. The new data center will have a
fully backed-up, flexible and energy-efficient
infrastructure with two active-centers, in
Ankara and Istanbul.
For uninterrupted and high-speed connection
at all branches, switching to a fiber optic
infrastructure has been started. The work
regarding establishment of the IP-based
and centrally manageable corporate phone
network at the Bank’s Head Office units and
branches also continues.
A renovation project to improve the standards
of hardware such as PC, printer, scanner and
queuing system in branches and Head Office
units was initiated; the Bank’s hardware
inventory was largely renovated. Also,
an application commissioned to provide
central management of printers, to receive
printer usage reports and to reduce toner
consumption.
For all IT products used at the Bank’s Head
Office departments, regions and branches,
field maintenance and support services were
reorganized to new standards and put into
operation. In order to prevent the leakage
of sensitive data from the Bank’s IT systems,
the DLP application was commissioned. The
establishment of a sensitive monitoring
infrastructure to improve the quality of IT
service is in progress.
2013 Activities
In line with its strategy developed through public
perception studies, VakıfBank has continued to
perform its corporate image activities within the
“being compassionate” motto.

scored a spectacular success:
following Top Teams in
2004 and the Challenge
Cup in 2008, the team won
the European Champions
League, Europe’s biggest
championship trophy. This
represented a huge success in
the history of team sports in
Turkey.
